Bluestem Studio, an on-line jewelry store in Allentown, has been up and running since 2006. Where? http://www.bluestemstudio.biz . The owner, Ann Biernat-Rucker, started the site in November 2006 to highlight her jewelry and the makings of a handful of other artists at The Baum School of Art of Allentown. Today the list of jewelry artists has swelled to almost twenty and the online store has jewelry from rings to watches, in addition to custom made-to-order items. ’’We have $13 items and they go up to $600 and we have some very young artists and they do some very funky pieces,’’ Biernat-Rucker said. Biernat-Rucker said appointments can be made where she can physically showcase items to prospective buyers. In addition, she has future plans to open a storefront in the Lehigh Valley.
